is it easier being Short and Hispanic or Asian?

I find that people are okay with me being short because I am Puerto Rican. I notice that people are okay with Asians being short also. At my job, there are two short black guys and one short white guy who are always being harrassed because of their height (they are about my height).

They leave me and these two Asian guys who are my height give or take a few alone. Has anyone else noticed this?

I would say yes. Black kids in my school were bullied relentlessly if they were small. I never saw Asian kids getting the same treatment. I think it has something to do with so many tall athletes being in the media that it becomes the perception of what maybe blacks should be.

You can see how they talk about Kevin Hart, Bobby Valentino and other short black entertainers. I never heard people make fun of Bobby Lee or Bruce Lee for being short.

I think so. I work with a few short guys. A lot of them get short jokes, but the Hispanic guys rarely get picked on.

Its almost like people expect Latinos and Asians to be shorter.
