Question
Is there such thing as a "tall man complex"?

We've all heard of the dreaded "Napoleon complex". While this is grossly exaggerated, I've noticed some strong entitlement from taller men (I'm talking like 6' and up) when they don't get their way, or they feel some kind of way about a shorter guy outperforming them, or even the idea of it. What say you?

I have absolutely experienced this in the workplace, except there was no term for it. Socially, people treat taller men as individuals and shorter men as a group. When tall man is belligerent, he's considered to just be bad person. If a shorter person acts the same way, it's "because of his size".

I don't know that the term "tall man complex" would have the same piercing effect, but that's a good way of putting it, because it definitely is a "complex" that I and many people I know have noticed.

Sounds like the "God Complex" or "Superiority Complex" to me, though calling it "tall man complex" in this context is more fitting. I like the term.

This is from Dictionary.com - "Superiority Complex"  - Noun, Psychology - "An exaggerated feeling of superiority to others, characterized by arrogant or overbearing behavior."
