height vs. color
post #1

If a woman rejects a guy for being black because she didn't want her kids to face racism it would cause outrage. It's interesting how a woman can reject a guy for being short and be labeled as 'understandable' while the rejecting for the former would be headlining newspapers out of dismay.

I agree with this completely. Heightism and racism have very similar overtones. Heightism is a socially accepted prejudice which is why everyone can openly condemn short men.

I never thought of it like that but that is insane. But you have to remember that blacks are under a lot of fire right now and anything like this will bleed a lot worse. Same with the gays.

You have to remember though that ALL men of ALL nationalities can be short. This is why a woman saying no to black men is thought of as being racist. I know that isn't fair for her or short men, or really any of this is fair, but it is how people are.

I actually know someone who feels this way and she is white and actually got jumped and beat up by a group of black girls over it when she was 17.

This is what I was thinking. Since being short is something all races of men can be, they can't blame it on one thing. But then again, what if the man is a short black man and she refuses to date him for his height... would she be racist?

I hate when people do this crap. Color, height, hair/eye color, even weight shouldn't deem a person ugly.
