Family Member Berates Shorter Cousin Due To Height | Lipstick Alley | Short King | Short Kingz

Can you believe this? I do. These are the type of things that you suspect, but can't prove. Threads like these though prove exactly what you've suspected but can't call people out on in the moment.

They actually said that 5'8-5'10 is on the shorter side for a man.

Holy cripes! Do men under 5'8 fall into the sub-human category? Jeez!

I've been on that site many times. It has to be one of the most toxic forums on the internet and that's just in general. Their commentary on short men is some of the worst I've read anywhere. This particular post is light work compared to the others on that site.

We're viewed as faceless NPCs. Just pay attention to how some women interact with you at work. The ones who are indifferent and cold to you, but not taller guys are exactly these posters.

This is what I have to deal with when I get older? Oh man.

What a weird thing to get agitated with a cousin over.

On another note, look at the number of laughing reactions!

This definitely stood out, and the number of laughing reactions on pretty much any post that involves shorter men.

I notice the taller women on this thread being the most brutal toward shorter men. Why is the question? On every board where men and women co-mingle, the consensus tends to be, "taller women have it just as bad as shorter men and are not so hung up on height".

Lipstick alley is a female-centric board, so in my estimation, this post is a truer representation of what they think. Of course, it's not to say that all women think this way, but I'd bet the percentage is way more that they let onto be when they're conversing in non-female-centric spaces.

You guys are behaving like you learned anything new from reading that thread.

The only thing "brutal" to me is the fact that the poster feels this way about a family member.

If you can't even be comforted and respected by your own family member, is it a wonder why people react the way they do to heightist treatment?

The women in my family definitely have height preferences, but they have way more tact when expressing that around me.

The only thing I too as brutal here is the fact that she can't "respect" someone they look down to. What is that?

No, it's pretty equal. Short women on this thread and on many of their others are just as callous as they are on Tik-Tok and Facebook.
