Life is really rough for a very short male. When I say short, I don't mean 5'6 short, but 5'0 short. I rarely get respect, haven't had a girlfriend and am regularly disrepected. I notice a lot of people talking about heightism but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Why is that?

I tend to shop at JC Penny's and Macy's for shoes, but can never find the right style. Plus, I often cannot find shoes in my size. I am looking for something modern and trendy. I'm only 28, so don't want to look like a grandad in dress shoes (no penny loafers please!)
Lacross, football, rugby and baseball. I play on my company's basball team and play at least twice a week.
