So by this guys logic, saying you refuse to date fat people is okay?
I mean I get his point but there is something that always bothered me when it came to preferences... If you prefer it and you are dating "other than" it, that is giving the person you are dating low self esteem and self worth. I prefer dark hair on men, so I don't date blondes. Does that make me a bitch? I don't think so! I don't want the person I am dating to think I think less of them.
I know he has trouble with it and accepting it. He gets very jealous of me when he sees me talking to taller guys, his own taller friends even! I also have a friend who is 6'1 and he is engaged with a child! There is nothing there but he hates that I talk to him. He is basically a brother to me through family friends. How can I reassure him that I am happy and content with his height!? I meen I wouldn't want to be with someone a whole foot taller than me!
He ended up opening up and said that he had heightism his whole life and when we started dating he was so happy he forgot about it, and didn't think about his height. I guess that makes sense. Once we settled into each other he started looking at his body again.
My boyfriend had a 5'9 woman hit on him at work. While in a normal circumstance, I would be mad, I was happy for him. It boosted his confidence. Not something I did but something that made him happy, that made me smile.
