Joining forces on a "new age" height increasing insole project
post #1

Hi Everyone, I was thinking a lot about new type of height increase insole in the last year. Also, I have done a lot of market research and the reality is that apart from conventional insoles and elevator shoes, there's nothing else interesting in the market.

So I'm looking for entrepreneurial people within this community who would be interested in joining forces and creating a new innovative height increasing insole that would solve the following problems:

- It is not DISCREET when the shoes are taken off at home.
- Uncomfortable/painful if worn on a daily basis for more than 1 h with > 2" - 3" increase
- Bad for your feet if used daily on a higher increase (esp. 2"+)
- Each shoe needs particular type and height of the insole and it becomes a permanent fixture.
- To achieve more height (2"+) you need to stack/glue layers up that is messy and unstable.
- 2"+ insoles can make the whole shoe quite heavy.

Some of you might argue that elevator shoes solve some of the problems. However, it doesn't solve the major one - discreetness when you take the shoes off and even when you keep when at home with insoles inside. Also, I don't think the comfort level for elevator shoes is where it could be. Another big one - it is still quite limited selection of elevator shoe designs and the vast majority of them look like elevator shoes.

So my ideal solution would be to create the kind of insole that could easily adapt to normal shoe while still retaining the comfortability. Also, one of the key elements would be to be able to adjust the height easily - either mechanical mechanism inside the insole or some other solution.

It is something that could start as a hobby project but could potentially grow into a business project. I believe it is doable as these days there are plenty low cost technological solutions that were not available in the past.

Send me a message if you would be interested in discussing it further. Especially I would be interested in talking to people with engineering background as I'm more on the business and commercial side an things like mechanical design is not my forte.

David. Hi. Do you have a GoFundMe or Kickstarter page? I'd like to support your project.

I second this idea. I would love to support you. Set up a gofundme page and share it here. I know quite a few friends who will help as well.

Hi Guys, thanks for getting back and for your support!

However, I don't think it is ready for the crowdfunding yet. It is all and idea level at the moment and in terms of technical implementation, there's no prototype yet.

Personally, I'm more commercial than technical as far as mechanical/electronic engineering goes. SO I would be interested in talking to someone in this field who would be interested in cooperating to take this to the prototype stage.

Be sure to update us on the forum with any new news on this. I will back it up if you go into crowd funding for sure!
