Weightlifting won't make me shorter right?

Will intense weightlifting make me look "shorter" because of the added bulk? I've heard girls say that short guys who lift weights are overcompensating and a friend of mine who is 5'5 lifts weight has bulk and people call him "bulldog". Which body type compliments us more? Short/Skinny or Short/Muscular?

It is tru, that when you bulk you will look shorter due to added width, but only in an extreeme bulk.

It will not make you shorter, but it may make you look shorter.

Personally, and from the girls that i've been with, they all say that a broadshoulder guy is more attractive, doesnt really mean if its fat or muscle, skinny guys in general have a harder time, that someone with more mass.

Forgot to mention that working out, makes you walk more upright which actually gives the illision that you are taller.
