I don't have any issues with believing the validity of this post from DC Urban Mom. Even withstanding this man's height, this phenomenon about leaving a marriage due to peer pressure is a vey real phenomenon.
I've seen this happen with women who want to upgrade to a better lifestyle or because they befriend party types. If the guy was otherwise a good man, then this type of situation definitely blows.

Something similar happened almost 20 years ago. A Saudi woman divorced her husband for the same thing.
