Cut them off. It doesn't matter whether it is freinds, acquaintances or even family. People will only do what you allow them to. If you don't set boundaries, they will overstep them again and again.

I had a buddy growing up who had a friend that used to tease me and I couldn't stand it. After high school I lost touch with my friend on purpose because I just couldn't take it anymore and they were going to the same college so there was no avoiding it.

I don't go to gyms really. Been to a few with some friends but most "couples" I see in there are either out of shaping trying to lose weight or gym rat couples. Either way, the men are always taller and bigger. haha
