Wut???? We're not even talking about preferences but requirements. Height for a lot of women is seen as a dealbreaker not just a "preference". Ugliness is subjective anyway. What's ugly to one person might not be to another, but 5'5 is always going to be 5'5.

This was annoying back in the days, but it seems more common place now. It has to be the media I've had women much shorter than me tell me that I was too short for them. Last week I had a date with a woman who claimed to be 4'9 and 38 years of age say that she is opening her mind to shorter men now that she is older and that is why she agreed to the date!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is proof that it's more about your personality than your height. Clearly if you had women approaching you and you rejected them, then the problem was with yourself at that time. Hopefully that has changed now that you're older. 5'6 is not that short, especially for your race. What do you do for a living?
