NYC Social Experiment - 6'4 vs. 5'2 - What is their profession ?
This video is from 11 years ago or so. They had two men with similar looks and dressed identically walk around the streets of NYC. They asked random strangers on the street to guess their profession and salary.
When they brought out the 6'4 man, people guessed that he was a Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer or Business Tycoon making $500,000/yr. One man said, "I wish I had his height".
When they brought out the 5'2 man, one woman exclaimed, "Oh my god, he's so little!". Then she guessed, "I don't know, maybe he's a cook!" She then guessed that he made around $20,000 a year" Another woman said, "he doesn't look happy".
Newsweek reports on a recent study which combed through data to determine which states had the shortest and tallest men. The tallest men are where you would most expect, the Midwest, while the shorter men are also exactly where you'd most expect, the coasts.
Short men have just as many sex partners as their taller counterparts
According to a study published in "Evolutionary Psychology" by two researchers from Chapman University, "taller men do not have a history of more sex partners than average height or short men", that is if you are at least 5'4. Numbers decrease steadily thereafter.
The researchers due to their own positive that they would find as assumed that taller men would fair better, but this wasn't the case.
Data from Speed Dating shows women want 25cm height difference
Study shows that in a speed dating setting, women on average preferred a 25cm height difference between them and their male partner, while men preferred a 7cm difference (women being 7cm shorter). This leads to suboptimal pairing as a result.
People Date And Marry At Their Own Attractiveness Level
2024 study supports the idea that people date and marry at their attractiveness level. While the study does not explicitly say this, it can be inferred that perhaps those who struggle in the dating market consistently try to date out of their league.

A man's upper body size matters not if he is under 6ft.
A man's attractiveness is moot to women if he is under 180cm (6ft). There and above, their attractiveness, masculinity and fighting ability are considered and assumed should be above that height.
Shorter Referees More Likely To Penalize Taller Soccer Players
German study (translated) states that shorter referees are more likely to call foul and issue yellow cards to taller players after reviewing plays from over 2,000 games.

Strong inverse association between male height and suicide
A 2005 Swedish study followed a large cohort of men from age 18-49 and noticed a 9% decrease in suicide risk for every 5cm (2 inch) increment in height.

Study reports that women who perceive themselves to be very attractive (either through self-assessment, or via feedback from men in real life or online) have a stronger preference for taller men.
