The hostility is understood but I agree with @ThatFlyShortGuy. If a woman is telling you she likes short men and claims to date them frequently, then what's the problem? Take it at face value and extend your gratitude. We already know that a lot of women don't even like to date men that are their height. If a 5'3 woman does not date men 5'2 and below, but does date men who are 5'3 (who are considered very short by societal standards), it's still a win for us.

Gotta love "Buzzfeed" where all they cry about is how society unfairly "body shames" women and shits all over men who aren't 6'2. Look at their "short guy" videos where the all of their "short guys" are 5'8 and anyone under that is usually gay. When have they ever had a straight short man under 5'8 represent short guys in anything? This woman is a hypocritical jerk.

Maybe it is something to do with the whole "security" thing. Short women feel more vulnerable and therfore look for someone who seems psysically stronger than the avarage.

Fair enough. I think this has more to do with value. Shorter guys are at the bottom of the totem pole and they probably get approached by shorter guys more often. Them screaming about how they prefer tall guys is probably to let others know that they too only seek and can get "high status men"
