100% Model Citizen. The shorter man in the video with his family who is just trying to go through life in peace has to deal with this type of vitriolic behavior.

I have seen this even in my family. It's not just about height either. Well, height conveys status and in this society, so does being white.

In this case, the Asian men have to come with height if they are not successful. If they are successful, there is some leeway.

There is more leeway with a white guy though.

Even when I was in school, I'd hear some of my friends criticize a guy for how he dressed, what kind of car he had (college), if he had his license (high school), how good his teeth was, etc and then go date a white guy who dressed like a bum.

This is not a judgement against any man who is white, rather just speaking to the fact that in dating, being white gets you bonus points and can make up for things that women will be more critical of if they were dealing with a non-white person.

There are a few YouTube channels run by Asian Men that I felt some type of way about, like resentment because of their helpless incel mentality. Some of these "Uncle Wongs" spend a significant amount of time belittling other Asian men and engage in unnecessary self-deprecation. One such YouTube personality, "Chinese Historian" would do this enough that I'd cringe when listening to otherwise valuable content.

But then I looked into his history. The experience of multiple divorces as a child, abuse, and lots of bullying due to his background. Add height to this and you can understand This should not be an excuse, but needless to say, I get it.

We should do a better job of looking out for one another and support those of us who struggle with mental health is my point.
