I would not forgive you. I ended up in a similar situation with my mom. I just ended up hating her side of the family - I still do. I'm an awful 5'7" and my mom is 5'2". The men and women on her side of the family are all short, from 4'11" - 5'6"!!! I ended up screwed and I'm still single.

Thanks. I forgot to mention my dad's side of the family. My dad is almost 6 feet tall. The males and females height ranges are from 5'6" to 6'2". I never expected to be a disgusting height of 5'7". I always thought if I was unlucky (for a lack of a better word) that I would end up 5'8" - based on my observations, that's considered a decent height for a guy. I thought I would end up between 5'9" to 5"11; 6 feet if I was lucky. 5'7" is incomplete - you're close to being decent, but you're not. You're still far from being tall and you're still classified as a short male. Generally, women want a tall guy, not just a guy who is taller than them. I have been told that my height would be fine - IF I was a female.

So this crap about owning your short stature is false encouragement. I don't want to be a parent. I don't want a short son.
