I hate it when women's tendency to dislike short guys is compared to men's dislike of fat women. Women have a choice not to be fat; men don't have the choice to be short.

Women don't have a choice when it comes to their body type, but this idea that all men are unattracted to curvy girls is inane. Curvy and fat are not the same thing. There are some absolutely killer looking Latinas and black women who have big backsides. Don't tell me for a minute that most men find those curvy chicks undesirable. I see some of them at the gym. Their tummies are flat, but their body type remains. Lots of men like something to grab on to, but they want something healthy to grab on to. And girls have the choice to live a healthy lifestyle or not.

The dislike of short men is also not comparable in anyway to a girl who has no boobs. If a woman is good looking, no man in the world is going to reject her because she is flat chested. The only reason why big tits are appealing to men is that it is unusual for men to see girls with big tits. But guys don't go around waiting to find a woman who has big boobs, whereas most girls will wait around forever to find a guy who is taller than 5-10 or whatever.

In all honesty, we are talking about a society that actually kills its girls or sends them off to orphanages. Sons are only valued. Unfortunately, that leaves a country full of men, and very few women. It allows Chinese women to be insanely picky. It's hard for me to shame them because they are very aware of what's going on in their society. That women are undervalued. But they should be just as mad at their moms as their dads. But Chinese society is still patriarchal. Women feel scared to speak up.

I feel your pain, but if it's a 40 year old gal, and you have never met her until just 4 weeks ago, there is no way to know if she would have rejected you as a 22 year old college student. People change. I mean, think of the 45 year old Dad of three daughters who slept with a ton of women in his late teens and twenties. When he looks at his daughters and his adoring wife, he probably feels an enormous amount of shame for what he did.....using girls for the sole purpose of sex and not giving a dang about it. People just do a lot of dumb things and hold a lot of dumb belief systems when they are young. Have faith....people grow out it. Not all the time.

Unless they are incredibly beautiful and young looking for their age and possess a cougar personality, women from their 40's onward are totally stupid to reject men because they are short. They simply don't have the choices they did when they were a 22 year old college student in a string bikini at Lake Havasu. Their boobs and buns are sagging, they wrinkle, they start to lose the ability to have kids......males at 40 onward have so much more optionality. They can still get women pregnant easily. They are attractive to a much larger age of people of the opposite gender. The average 40+ woman who turns down short men is really limiting her options.

See the thread I just put up about "social safety". As women age, they become less and less concerned about what their girlfriends and parents think of their decisions. Hence, they are more willing to date different types of guys. I have come to believe over the years that the dislike of dating short guys has more to do with the people who surround a chick than the chick herself. If she were left to her own devices, a lot more short men would have far less trouble dating girls in their mid-20's and such. Hey, and don't dismiss those women in their late 30's and even late 40's. Some of them are really hot still. Especially if they work out.
