I always thought Ron DeSantis was a solid 5'10. There was an episode of Valuetainment where Patrick Bet David teases him about his boots and invites him to try a pair of brand new expensive flat shoes on the air. Of course DeSantis refuses and claims that "he doesn't accept gifts". This makes me also believe that he's 5'9 or a little bit less.

I remember seeing this episode on re-runs as a kid. Looking back, it was one of the first times I saw heightism discussed with the "George Jefferson" character discussing what it was like being teased during childhood (not seen here in this clip, it was later in the episode).

If you think about it, that "short businessman association" is kind of like what this site is now and would've had the same mission and purpose since the internet and social media certainly didn't exist back then. Show that heightism and shorter men being hyper aware of their unique position has always been a thing.

My ex girlfriend and I were about the same height difference, and she asked me out. She looked noticeably taller in heels, but I never felt awkward when with her. We were together for about four years until a career move on my part didn't make us going further possible becuase she wanted to stay in the city I was in at that time.
