Hi,

I had the perception that women in Europe were less heightist than in North America. Lately I have been reading that women in the Scandinavian countries hate short men and won't date them. By short I mean 5'5 -5'7 range. I know average height for men there is like six feet. I thought I would ask if any short men in the range I mentioned do well with the ladies there are or are we like pariahs?

I would think the opposite. Aren't Sweden and Norway huge welfare states? In places like those, women have big daddy government taking care of them, so they're not relying on men for resources. They can afford to only look at physical attributes. I've read threads with 5'8 guys being treated like lepers in Northern Europe.

Hi corporate guy,

I read those same threads. Does anyone know if they were were flexible with men based on ethnicity? I mean East Indian men are not tall in general so are northern european women just going to reject them outright for lack of height or be understanding a bit about it?

I hear conflicting stories so I thought I would get people's actual experienc e with northern european women.

Hi Mojoman. Welcome to SGC! You should update your profile with a pic and update your location. I think it depends on where you are man. If the women you meet don't care about height you'll be fine, but if they have an internal prejudice against asian men then you're f*****. If they aren't heightist and are open to dating different races then it won't matter what your background is.

You have to consider more when you look at stuff like this than just height and preferences. Some places don't believe it is okay to date outside your race or culture. Then you have women who prefer to be the leaders of the house hold and are less likely to find the average "tall dark and hansom" man appealing.
