Thanks ThatFlyShortGuy, very helpful... I understand that LL could be complicated, but I also know the negative risks are unlikely and if any arise, can almost always be easily treated. The question about personal insecurity versus society may be irrelevant, unfortunately, unless you know of a way of dealing with the issue. If I was confident about my Italian-speaking abilities, but I was living in Brazil, I would still need to learn Portuguese. While theoretically I could confine myself to a place such as Little Italy within some city, or try to convince everyone else in Brazil to speak Italian, unless my attempts are successful, my dilemma still remains. Plus, that's a lot of hypothetical work when I could otherwise just be living my life normally without that societal-imposed handicap.
Great analogy. Can't be mad at you for the reasoning behind your choice. Just be careful and be kind and keep us updated with your progress since you asked for advice and all. You'll find that some people here are totally against LL, but others will be supportive of a fellow short man no matter what. Blessings to you.

How would you explain short women only wanting tall men then? LOL
They don't all only want tall men.
Anyway, racism is worse. I won't date a black woman tall or short. They do try though.
Yet they will cry "racism" or "colorism" when you express this preference. If you speak about about "heightism" they will laugh it off. Color and height are two things we can't change about ourselves. I could give a duck's ass if a woman isn't interested in me because I am short, but don't give me some sob story if I am not interested in fat women, black women, whatever.

I do agree with your boyfriend. I think he is a wise person and sees beyond and doesn't want to risk for good' sake. Only a short person can understand the miserable life of another short person when it comes to tall people's world. Believe me, as a man I would like to have children but it is way too risky to have a short son. However it all depends on personality type and self confidence. Having no children doesn't mean to waste our lives. Also you might think of adopting a child.
But you would really forsake having kids because you don't want to have a short son? How do you know that short son wouldn't grow up to be Ghandi or MLK? How do you even know your son "will" be short?
