Does she comment on it negatively or at all?

My mother is 4'9 or 149cm. So she is very short.
My dad is 5'7 175cm which is not very tall either.

I've never experienced any discrimination from any family members. My sister once said i was short compared to others but she was only 11 at the time.
My mother knows exacly how i feel about my heigh and that i've been depressed about it in a very very long time.

So she tends to let me borrow the car when i have a tinder date.

Altho' once we were in a fight and she brought up that i've never had er girlfriend like my holder half brothers have had in their youth.

My mother is taller than I am which is the ultimate trick god could play on a man. She only dates taller men of course and always has something negative to say about shorter men forgetting that her own son is, well... short.

Then shut her up? Now that is the ultimative trick god could play! A mother who despises short men when having one herself.
Mothers should always support their children to their death, also if that means lying, giving you the best hope a son could wish for!

My mother is long gone, and I'm in my late fifties, so this is not a current issue.  But, I would mention that my mother was not helpful to me in any way whatsoever in this issue.  She was child-like in her understanding of the world -- about the mentality of a 14 yr old school girl till the day she died.  She never had an adult, thoughtful, helpful, supportive thing to say.  The best was a cliche response like "Good things come in small packages." when I was feeling crushed by all the usual high school miseries of being one of the 5 smallest guys in the class.  I rarely if ever brought up the topic because I knew she was incapable of helping me.  I've had to find all my answers elsewhere - 99% of the answers and help and support I've found have come from books, website articles, ShortSupport.com and here.  I've only had one short male friend in the last 43 years who I could really talk to.

So, it's me and God.

My mom was pretty much like gymshorts' mother, not much in the metal department.  When I was being bullied, my parents did nothing.  Looking back, if I knew my sons were going to be short, (my mom was 5'2" and my dad 5'5"), I would have enrolled them in self-defense class as I have did for my boys.  I am 5'8" and my wife 5'7".  They get some height from her side, thank God.  My 17 year old is 6'.  I am so glad they will never have to put with the *bleep* I did because my parents were morons.

I have seen moves in self-defense class that I wish I knew about, like kicks to the knee.  Why punch up, when you can break a goon's knee, easily?  I am here to tell you, if I knew then what I know now, there would be some scared for life bullies hobbeling around on bad knees.  A key point is to get in close and take away their reach, then kick, punch for the thought, balls, eyes, don't let them get away.  Hit high then low, make it impossible block.  Punch the neck, they lose interest in fighting when trying to breath.

My mom was the tallest one in her family, which put her about 5'6".  Sisters and brothers were all short.  Of several children, I clearly reflected her side of the family with my height.  But I was "perfectly proportioned" (according to her), so my height didn't seem to be an issue.  My folks did try to put some weight on me, though, because I was (and am) pretty slim.  My little brother, on the other hand, has fun towering next to me and calling me "big brother".  It's a joke I can easily laugh at.

My mother was a complete bitch about it. Always telling me to eat so I'd grow and become a real man, even though she was short herself. She'd even say sometimes "it's a shame you didn't grow as tall as your brothers".

I'm good though now.

as I have gotten older i am willing to bet my mother was embaressed at my height, and she definetly favored my older brother who is 6 inches taller
