Amen. Single, childless men have no excuse not to work a lot of hours and stack.
Your answer is in your question. Stop comparing yourself to others and build your own brand. There's only one you, and even living in Europe, 5'10 is just under average in the tallest countries, spot on average in most and above average in places like Spain and Italy.
Welcome! Another exec here. I am VP of Supply Chain. Not so sure how old you are, but I'm in my late 30s. Which industry are you in? We generally work with HVAC and Geothermal. I am the second shortest in my peer group. Among the staff that I oversee, I am probably the third shortest.

I've been openly ridiculed and mocked because of my height.
This is fair.
I won't lie and say that it sucks to get jabs at your height, but only because it's the one thing that isn't protected.
As an example, in the corporate environment, making fun of someone's race, gender, body shape if a woman or class will certainly get you fired.
Short jokes? You're expected to take it.
I have a thick skin, and so, as corny as it seems, this does not make me want to be taller. It makes me want to bring the same shame and off-limits to short jokes as the other categories I mentioned.
I know this is an impossible task, but not for the reason you might think it is.
Short is a "man problem". As such, it's not taken seriously because nothing insulting to men is taken seriously.
When you understand this, you can let it go.
With that understanding though, the only way it would be made "off limits", is if enough men made noise about it... and they won't... because men who complain are seen as being "weak".
So here we are.
