I would be angry as well, and use it in an emotional argument every chance i get.
It is basically a bully and bad life sentence to get.

I would however have wanted my mom to tell me. Finding something of that matter out on my own, would be similar to figuring out that your lifepartner cheated on you.

Tell him, and help him. Be his friend, and kobe with his reality. Go clubbing with him and be his wing man if thats needed.

Its not worth the risc,

Besides many of the points already explained, hollywood also makes him taller on the screen, if you watch any of his movies you will almost never notice that he is that much shorter than the others.
