You can see the pain in the man's eyes here. Not to be dismissive of the woman's "struggles" here, but as it is most of the time, she invents her struggles. She has no shortage of suitors, they're just not the ones she wants.

There really is no comparison. The taller woman is going to have suitors of all heights. Most women in her position will hold out for a taller man and will have to compete with the 99% of woman who are shorter than she is.

The shorter man is going to deal with most women wanting a man taller than the guy here. This is not to say that a man in his position cannot be successful. I know a few, but it will be a battle compared to a man at least 5'5 or taller.

There is no comparison. For taller women, the issue is image and self-conciousness. Plenty of men, especially shorter ones will care not one iota if their partner is taller.
