My boyfriend and I have been talking on deeper levels lately and he basically flat-lined me with this one....
He said he does not want to have kids because he does not want to risk having a son who will grow up short and struggle with the same issues he has. I didn't even know what to say. I went into the other room and cried because I want kids.
Has anyone ever said they didn't want to have kids do to height? I am curious here.
Where was your BF's parents born? I don't think either of you need to worry. Each generation gets taller until a certain point. Urban areas tend to produce kids who are taller. If your BF's parents were from rural areas this would explain his height. (i think its prolly due to eating choices in rural vs urban). But the next generation will be taller.
When did your BF or you stop growing? You can talk to doctors about it first, some people delay puberty in their kids so that they don't get an insane early growth spurt. This allows them to go through puberty when they're older and taller, rather than wasting your height spurt to go from 4ft to 5.4ft @ 12years old.
TLDR.
I've been to several work and volunteer related conferences / summits since my workplace hosts many of these events and i have a strong interest in this particular field.
What i noticed is that if the event is tailored towards the VERY successful, wealthy leaders, the vast majority of delegates / guests are insanely tall. Almost everyone is 6'+. They come from around the world and even guests from Japan and China are tall. What's worse is, the majority of women are tall too.
Even though the majority of guests are men the ratio of women to men is higher than the ratio of tall men to short men. I should also mention that these men are a generation or two older than me..
So I do believe that there is a correlation but more like a glass ceiling for short guys trying to climb to the very top. Anyways, it's not something we should complain about because there's a glass ceiling for many types of people.
Yes it would mean a lot but the biggest issue is that unbalanced weight distribution affects how i feel after some physical activities. My fam doc has told me a couple years back that surgery isnt practical for my slight curvature. She also said it wouldnt get worse because i'm not going to grow. (she said that when i was still 5'5 or 165cm. Now im 168). I'm just hoping i grow to 5'7
