What I can't stand is when height insults are dismissed as a joke

Does anyone notice this? Especially in work-related or peer group settings, insults about someone's height are passed off as a "joke", and if you speak up on it, you get told that you're sensitive. How sway?

If you take any height joke and put any other quality about someone, weight, complexion, income, education, those become fireable or otracizeable offenses. "It's just a joke bro".

Whether it be in the movies, online, in print or viewable media, just the sheer idea that someone is short is somehow "hilarious".

It's become normalized.

You could say I don't find the humor in it because I am short, but you could say the same to anyone who is the recipient of any insult.

Anyone notice that height cliques are a thing?

Something I notice at my college is how a lot of guys will form height cliques.

This isn't something that is blatant or consciously intentional (or maybe it is), but it happens.

It might be the friendship version of what I've read about assortative mating. Almost like another hierarchy.

I'm not counting athletes hanging together on campus and not ignoring guys who may have been friends since childhood or through work.

In the general sense, it's just something I notice. It's almost as if it's beneath them to hang with people who are much shorter than them. When I go to campus parties or some social events, outside of people who have common interests, new friendships tend to form this way.

To some extent, it was even like this a bit in high school.

Does anyone else notice this?

5'5 retail employee vents about being bullied for his height.

Guy has a lot of guts posting something like this, but everyone needs an outlet to vent their frustration.

People say a lot of mean things online. Hoping this dude doesn't let feelings of inadequacy take over.

Female guard lets 6'10 murderer out to "have new life" with her

You literally cannot make things like this up. Of course, you'll hear "height doesn't matter". Maybe this guy takes a lot of showers and touches grass and that's why he's being obsessed over, even though he comitted murder.

The radio silence is pretty accurate. 🙄

She insists that the mindset of short men are the problem

https://x.com/thechosenberg/status/1824136216528159131

The gaslighting is terrible. Imagine for a second if a man said to his girlfriend or wife that she wasn't pretty, but he loved her personality, and he had a problem with this.

Now imagine someone telling her that her mindset was terrible if she was mad about it. After all, it's what's inside that counts right?

New hit song "6 ft nothing"

Wondering how many views this will get. Beyond brutal.

At the very least, I hope someone releases a clap back. This is so dehumanizing.

Tom Holland gets dogged for being recommended to play James Bond

Yet when Wolverine, another fictional character is made to be much taller than he actually is, there is no pushback.

Ironically, X-Men (1963) has been around for about the same amount of time as the James Bond (1962) franchise.

Tall man documents his supposed daily experiences with discrimination

Yes, all of these things happen daily in real life and really need addressing 🙄

If this were an actual "thing", you can bet there would be loads of social media posts calling for an end to it lol.

Women in 1967 interviewed about what they find attractive in men.

Can you guess what the number one or most bought up physical trait was?

She thinks her height shouldn't determine who she is able to date

If a guy said, "I'm fit, why do I need to date someone who's fat", or, "I'm tall, why should I have to date someone who is short"..... "why does my fitness or height decide who I should date", there would be outrage.

Woman discusses how dating standards have gotten out of control

She objectively approaches the dating standards in the 21st century and how it goes against how humans have approached dating prospects at any other point in history.

Twitter user thinks that short men are jealous of Megan Thee Stallion

Notice the first item on the list. Lol. It really isn't that deep, and I'm not interested in a woman who can't speak English properly.

Woman talks about why she hates her city so much.

Of all of the reasons why a person could hate where they live.

Can you imagine the backlash a man would get if he did a similar video?
