Good idea. Would like to see it happen. Prolly won't though.
Been seeing ads for a NEW Harry Potter book. Which of course means a new Harry Potter movie.
Did you think they wold let that franchise die? Hells no. They gonna milk that cash cow dry just like every other successful movie series.
Daniel Radcliffe is, I'm sure, already gearing up to be grown up Harry potter, and clearing his driveway for the dump truck full of $$$ that they are going to drive up to his house for him to do it.
Maybe they'll find an actor that fits the role for Wolverine and just use fancy camera tricks and angles to make him look 5'3. Haha.
Dude, your 5'8. You don't stand out as a target for ridicule in at that height. You got a real young face or something (that's good later in life, you'll see)? I got carded by goofy clerks once in a while even in my early thirties, and i didn't even look young. If she was giggling about it then she was probably trying to flirt or just a wackadoo. How'd she look?
I know what you're saying. Being close to the socially "desirable" height is sort of like a carrot on a stick feeling. Ultimately who feels worse is entirely dependent on the individual. I'm not happy about my height, but, honestly when I see guys who are significantly shorter than myself, I feel ungrateful and ashamed of myself for complaining. There are guys at my gym that work very hard, and have great physiques, but, very short, small persons. I feel even worse for them because they are much younger than I, and I know it will be a tough road for them.
Shorter than average guy here (for my ethnic background). Don't like to say short.
Coming up on the big 4 0 pretty quick. 5'7.5 tall. 175 lbs. lean muscle. People guess 185-190 though. Happy to still have good hair. lol
Former highrise construction worker in Chicago, Ex-Army Sergeant, highly decorated multiple tour Iraq Campaign veteran, and in general bad Mutha... I see big guys at the gym who can't bench their own bodyweight and I'm thinking, I weigh 80 lbs less than you and I can bench YOUR bodyweight.
I can walk into a room filled with people and know that very few if any men there have done the kinds of stereotypically "manly" things I've done. Yet, I still have these nagging insecurities about my height.
I suppose forums like this can be good or bad, depending on what you make of them. Mostly just gonna put my 2 cents in.
