comments on Caroline Wozniackis "upgrade"

I like these anonymous comments and the up and the down bars because that is really telling how people are feeling

check out all of the comments on the bottom of this page about how Caroline Wozniacki "upgrades" her guy over the "shrimp" "turnip""midget" "little troll" that she used to date

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-4564164/Caroline-Wozniacki-enjoys-romantic-day-beau-David-Lee.html#comments

it seem there is 1 group you are allowed to mock and defame and your comments are going to get posted and you are going to get alot of approval from the other posters and that is a short male

During WWI, The British Had Bantam Regiments. Soilders 5'4 And Under

During World War I, many men wanted to sign up to fight but the British had a height requirement of 5 foot 4. To service these enthusiatic would-be soldiers, they created separate battalions that would be lead by officers of normal height. Their rifles would be cut 6 inches shorter and they had custom made uniforms to accommodate their short stature.

They had an amazing track record.

Do you want children?

So here is the thing.
Im in my mid 20's and at least in Denmark where i am from. People tend to get kids around my age or when they finish their education.
Its not very uncommon to see parents, especially single mothers below age 25.

But the general issue about heightism has brought me a very sceptic view on having todlers.
I find the world chaotic where hypocrism has taken over, where women are more shallow than men.
As a comedian said
"Women want a guy who is; taller, stronger, smarter, older and makes more money. But what is there for a guy to like beside ass at titties?"

In short, i find it irresponsible to bring a kid into this world with all the shallowness if thats a word.
Which makes me not want to have kids.
Maybe i will change my mind in some years i dont know.

Isn't absurd when people compare overweight women with short men?

Hi

I often see people comparing short men with overweight women. Even short men compare their struggles with overweight women's struggles... but I find such comparison very absurd... I mean, nobody chooses his/her height... being disliked because of your height is as absurd as being disliked as a result of your nose shape... however, when it comes to weight, we are talking about something that most people can change by exercising and eating right... Additionally, taking care of your weight is very important! being anorexic or overweight is not good for a person's health.  Your thoughts?

As a shorter man myself, I love this site.

There are other communities for short men on the web. A lot of them focus on things counterproductive to our progress as men like "growing taller", whining or are trolled relentlessly by people who want laughs or to boost their own egos (i.e. r/short on reddit).

Here though, things are really different. It's like we're all honest about society's view of us and work hard to become the best we can be in all other areas of our lives, while condemning height bigotry. It's a nice mix.

Why Trump winning is great for short men everywhere

I do not agree with that statement.

Trump have something that prolly anyone in here wont. So much money he can buy
anything. He made his way with honesty and money. Using this as a self motivation is just unrealistic and wrong.

I do see where you are going with it, and if you find it inspiring then good for you, really.
But i dont see other people acknowledge the general issue about shorter guys and therefore an invalid point.
thats just my view.

Does your Mother take the opinion of taller men more seriously?

I used to find a lot of this growing up. My mother happens to be taller than me. Growing up, if something broke around the house or she needed the answer to something, she would trust my friends more than trusting me to be knowledgeable. It used to frustrate me. Even in the present day with me grown up, I notice that she is more trusting to the assumed knowledge of a taller person than one shorter.

Any of you find stuff like this?

The Third Richest Man In The World Is A Short Man

Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon is now the third richest person in the world.

http://www.bbc.com/news/business-36917516

Mr Bezos owns 18% of Amazon's shares, which rose 2% in trading on Thursday. Forbes estimated his fortune to be $65.3bn (£49.5bn).

Amazon's revenue beat analysts' expectations, climbing 31% from last year to $30.4bn in the second quarter.

Profit for the e-commerce giant was $857m, compared with $92m in 2015.

According to Forbes estimates, Mr Bezos's fortune is only surpassed by Microsoft founder Bill Gates, worth $78bn (£59bn), and the $73.1bn (£55bn) fortune of Zara founder Amancio Ortega.

Amazon had developed a reputation for announcing little or no profit each quarter, but appeared to hit a turning point last year and has seen improving earnings since.

Amazon shares have spiked 50% since February.

how can a short man feel confident about a woman's love towards him?

Hi guys. I have seen everywhere how women have a strong preference for tall men.. I have seen this in my family, on the internet, on the movies, etc... Now, "unfortunately" (from women's viewpoint) there aren't enough tall men in this world.. as a result many women will end up marrying a "short" man. and I quote the word "short" because I don't understand how can a woman call "short" a man who is 2 or 3 inches taller than her.. I mean a woman who is 5'4'' tall is likely to call short a man who is 5'7''... but how can she call him 'short" if he is 3 inches taller than her? either way... my question is... how can a short man ever feel confident about his wife's love towards him? how can he be sure that she didn't "settle down" with him because she was unable to find a tall man?

Grew an Inch, will i grow more? & socliosis

Yes it would mean a lot but the biggest issue is that unbalanced weight distribution affects how i feel after some physical activities. My fam doc has told me a couple years back that surgery isnt practical for my slight curvature. She also said it wouldnt get worse because i'm not going to grow. (she said that when i was still 5'5 or 165cm. Now im 168).  I'm just hoping i grow to 5'7

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Was Yesterday...

I seen an article was done on the site but I would like to remind others of his 5'7 height.

He never let it get in the way of his calling so don't let it for you.

Are there actually those who are blind to what short guys go through?

I just had an argument with someone because I was enthusiastically agreeing with an article on here. I spoke on how being called cute, as a short guy, is NOT a complement. It's the type of thing that they say to guys that they probably would NEVER have sex with. This is what they say when they see a baby, a puppy, or an outfit they like...should we just be happy that they are calling us cute at all? Even if it essentially means nothing? The person that I had the argument with says, "That's not true, girls call all different kinds of guys cute!" ....but when I think about the people I've met, they have tall mates. (...or at least taller than me) On top of that, my own life experiences have shown me (through female family members, friends, and former potential love interests) that even when there are positive comments made about short guys, there is usually a joke about how it WOULD be to be with them (or me, in cases of love interests)...so things of this sort don't make me feel like we get a fair shot at things of love, and probably other things too without us knowing it. What do you think? Am I just bitching about it, or do I have merit to feel this way?
